Carbon Offset

 

Australian Travel Specialists are very aware of the impact travel has on climate change and we are embarking on a staged program to off set carbon emissions for both our business and our customers.

This will be achieved by a three stage process commencing early 2010.

Stage One:

An energy assessment and implementation of energy efficient measures.

Part of the Energy Efficiency for Small Business program.

Stage Two:

Work towards a Climate Action Certification as a Climate Action Leader.

This certification is awarded to businesses that have incorporated strategic climate change responses across all relevant levels of business planning and operations. Our business will measure and audit our carbon footprint via a credible system and we will undertake an advanced level of adaptation, emissions reduction and offsetting and we will work toward becoming carbon neutral

Stage Three:

Provide a mechanism for all our customers to offset their carbon footprint from products purchased from Australian Travel Specialists and/or from other companies used to travel to Australia.
